Accreditations

The IAE Aix-en-Provence Graduate School of Management is committed to offering a quality, international educational experience for its participants. The institute has continually sought to deliver a unique and challenging curriculum that is internationally recognized for its excellence in pedagogical innovation.

To succeed in this endeavour, the institute has obtained the following international quality awards:

  • EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) in 1999, and renewed in 2007 for 5 years.
  • AMBA (Association of MBAs) for our MBA Change & Technology in 2004, for our Masters' in Management in 2005 and for our Euro*MBA and Executive Part-time MBA in 2007.

EQUIS: European Quality Improvement System

 

EQUIS is a system designed to improve, standardise, and certify quality for upper management education institutions in Europe. This international strategic audit and European accreditation system is organised by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) in compliance with international educational standards.

International Recognition

 

This accreditation places IAE Aix-en-Provence as a centre of excellence on the international market of higher management education institutions. As such, it provides students, companies and all international partners with a clear signal of quality and excellence.

A Reference in Management Education

 

IAE Aix-en-Provence is the first institution of the French University system to receive such accreditation. The international standards at the basis of the EQUIS system provide a unique analysis framework to compare business schools.

The certification process is an ongoing opportunity to complete, redefine and update the strategy of the institution as well as an opportunity to refocus on quality criteria.

International Recognition of Excellence

Thanks to a quality standardisation effort undertaken over several years, the IAE Aix has now joined the ranks of the best European Management Institutions.

MBA Change and Technology

After having obtained the European accreditation EQUIS in 1999, the IAE Aix-en-Provence obtained the AMBA accreditation for its MBA Change and Technology in June 2004. The IAE Aix-en-Provence views this accreditation as an additional recognition of its international character.

The programme was created in the year 2000, and today accounts for almost 200 graduates. It has welcomed it's new class representing students from varied origins, in terms of nationality, training, and professional experience. All of the continents are represented, engineers as well as marketers, project leaders as well as team managers, and business entrepreneurs.

The Masters

The Masters programmes at the IAE Aix offer participants solid management training within a unique international context. Masters programmes were awarded AMBA accreditation in 2005 for their excellence in management training. Through a combination of face-to-face instruction, case studies, interactive team exercises, internships abroad and in France, international seminars, and a daily multicultural environment, participants are challenged and encouraged to continually develop their management competencies.

Euro*MBA

The Euro*MBA is a modulated programme especially designed to enable participants to study while continuing their job. The 2-year part-time Euro*MBA offers a mixture of e-learning and residential weeks. The programme is run by a consortium of European institutions* and its multicultural roots run deep. Participants can combine their job responsibilities with a flexible educational programme that allows them to meet international challenges more effectively. Graduates of the Euro*MBA benefit from an international alumni network long after completing the programme.

Executive Part-time MBA

The EMBA “Leading Business, People, and Innovation” is a part-time, two-year, full English general management MBA programme for executives, starting in September every year.

It combines the expertise of four graduate schools recognised in their field, which have created a specific consortium to support and manage the EMBA programme:

  • IAE Aix-en-Provence Graduate School of Management: a leader in Business and Management
  • ENSAM: a leader in Mechanical Industrial and System Engineering as well as in Innovation Management
  • INT Management : a unique school of Management with strong focus on the relations between Management, Information, and Communication
  • IGS: a specialised school in International Human Resources

Equis

EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System)

Given by the European Foundation for Management Development . The EFMD is the European accrediting body for business schools in Europe, and accredits the school rather than a specific programme.

AMBA

AMBA - Given by the Association of MBAs, the UK-based organisation responsible for accreditation of MBA and Masters programmes.

The Association of MBAs has two main roles: it is an independent accreditation body which assesses the quality of MBA and Master’s programmes (AMBA accredits the programme, whereas EQUIS accredits the institute) as well as a membership organisation for students and graduates of accredited MBA programmes.
