Aix-en-Provence is the historic capital of Provence. It is renowned for a rich heritage, cultural diversity, beautiful fountains and traditional architecture.
It has attracted numerous artists for centuries with the particular light of its skies and its wonderful surroundings.
It is also the home to one of France's larger universities. Over the last thirty years, Aix-en-Provence has experienced a considerable population increase. The local economy is growing, largely under the influence of nearby science parks. Aix-en-Provence was elected by the society of French Business Executives as the most pleasant French city to live and work in (150,000 inhabitants, 40,000 students).
The IAE Aix campus is located in the small typical "provençal" village of Puyricard at the gate of Aix-en-Provence.
